What it’s for

Production Management exists to translate creative ambitions into a practical plan and to see that plan through to delivery. It sits between artistic, technical, and management stakeholders, helping keep the creative vision aligned with what is actually achievable on the ground.

How it works

Where possible, involvement starts well before the event itself: planning and coordination can run across several months, followed by a concentrated period on site. Depending on the brief, this can include pre-production planning, coordinating creative and technical design, scheduling, supplier management, resource planning, and managing on-site teams.

Responsibilities and decision-making authority are agreed with the client rather than fixed in advance, so the scope can range from a specific area of responsibility to comprehensive management of the whole production.

Why work with Cothrom

Most recently, Dominic was Production Manager for the Irish Festival of Oulu in Finland — a four-day, five-stage street festival with more than a dozen bands, local artists, and an 18-tonne, two-storey mechanical Pegasus, delivered for audiences in the thousands.

Earlier, with Encore Global in the United States, he directed technical delivery for corporate events of up to 8,000 attendees, managing a $10M+ annual portfolio and the full project lifecycle — venue selection, crewing, budgets, and financial reconciliation. With Papercut Design, he managed on-site delivery and operations for international productions, coordinating crews of up to 40.
